CSL Packers 101: Silanguin Cove
Latest News
Silanguin Cove (San Antonio, Zambales, March 13 - 14, 2010)
finally, last march 13, 2010, i was able to complete on visiting all (3) of the coves of zambales. actually there's another cove that has been developing by ayala land, somewhere in subic area. but i guess, that is not included on my list, it is private-owned.
we reached pundaquit at around 4:00 am and right away, we started the long 1 hour and 45 minutes banca ride to silanguin cove. thank god the sea was so calm that time, we only encountered a few big waves while passing by the mouth of nagsasa. on our way, i am thrilled by the lights emitted by planktons as if they were yelling, "istorbo naman ang mga 'toh!" {*hehe!*} when disturbed by our ride.
the sun was starting to rise when we reached the mouth of the cove. they were right, the cove was so big. based on my "tantiya-meter", its shoreline was three times longer than those of nagsasa's and five times or more than anawangin. silanguin cove was more like a bigger version of anawangin. its shore and the distribution of pine trees was similar to the most popular cove. but what really catches our attention was the colored flags posted along the beach. "what the heck!", hehe! i am expecting a serene and pristine environment but oh well, nothing is impossible on commercialism.
it was too hot all day. i tried to take a nap but i could'nt, considering i'm awake all along on our way to zambales from manila. and there were too many jelly fish on the sea, so i just satified and refreshed myself by dipping my feet on the water. it's seasonal acoording to the locals. jellyfish are cute, but beware, it's itchy when they stung your skin.
midnoon when we start to explore the northern part of the cove. too bad i'm only armed with camera phone so i don't have a high resolution photos. from this angle, the view of the cove was amazing. we did'nt explore the southern part of the cove, we're lack of time. i guess, i'll do it the next time i visit this place again.
to sum it up, silanguin cove was another must visit place and yet indeed another masterpiece of nature. but as i said earlier, commercialism is starting to affect on it's serenity. to explore all of it's hidden beauty, i could tell that two days and one night of stay on the cove was just not enough. bitin..
{*kailangan ko na talaga ng matinong camera..*}

CSL Packers 101: Mt.Cristobal (Overnight)
Latest News
Mt.Cristobal (Devil's Mountain) - (Dolores, Quezon, Feb. 27 - 28, 2010)
saya ng socials na medyo ginabi at medyo napa-ingay, hehe! {*sorry poh!*}
